Nursery Reveal

We lived in an ONE bedroom apartment in Southern California and the housing market was at the top of where its ever been.

We were newly pregnant and I was everyday dreaming of the day that I would get to decorate white walls with little pieces for my sweet baby. Something that seemed hard to reach.

SO I put Jesus to work.

I grabbed a thick white paper and started growing a dream board with Jesus!

Printing and cutting out pictures of the things I dreamed to happen that year…daily looking at it on my bedroom wall and praying over each one.

Our First Family Session

These precious moments were captured so beautifully by Laurel at Poppy Lea Photography.

There is never a moment I look back and say,…”dang I wish I never captured that memory.”

SO with that in mind, I needed to hire someone who can freeze in time our little life we MADE!

And I am so glad I did-She was such a joy to work with and I could cry at how perfect they are!

Here are some of our favorites (:

Our Birth Story

As most of you know, my pregnancy seemed like forever....and a day.

Every day past the due date got harder and harder until walking ended up feeling like I was dragging a ball and chain. A prisoner of my own body!

Thanks bed rest.

I kept thinking she was coming early especially due to the specialists having me believe she was deemed to come early! But...at 42 weeks...She was hanging in there tightly and induction was seeming at this point...really nice! So Friday was the day and it couldn’t come fast enough.

33 Week Baby Update and Maternity Dresses

Selah was measuring tiny. Sure that is normal…but her marginal velementous umbilical cord insertion had the doctors dub me high risk. Mainly because that means she could have a hard time getting nutrients and all that in general. High enough to demand extra visits and recently have me coming 2 days a week to monitor her heart, contractions and growth…small contractions were coming too soonn…AND was put on small bedrest…

Is that scary? Well for someone that is a anxiety prone person….like ME….

Time for a baby update!

The Perfect Maternity/ Non maternity Outfit for Spring!

Springtime is simply, my favorite.

Especially being pregnant!

I love how its not to hot (hello swelling in the heat!) and its warm enough to throw on a cute little springtime dress and a denim jacket with some vans.

This is my go-to outfit that I would choose to wear EVERYDAY…if it were socially exceptable to do so.

I got so many compliments on this dress that I had to share it with you guys, and the reason I love it even more is because it fits with my third timester bump!

Home Maternity Shoot

I had received 7 Hello’s on one thread via Facebook messenger over a 3 year span.

To me, I had not been a fan of responding to any guy via any kind of social media!

Don’t get me wrong, I knew WHO he was. He was the older hot baseball player in high school. The one Greek god of a man that was a stud at football. If I had any wild guess, he was a catch! But, nah. Not social media.

Years later, I had sat at the top of a stair case and prayed. I let God know I was ready. Ready for my husband. I was willing to wait. Willing to take life slower.

THEN, I ran into him.

Baby Girl's Name & The Faith that Comes with it

What’s in a name?

Well, my whole life…it was just something to be referred to as.

But if you ask me now, a name is everything. Its your identity that has ability to tell a beautiful story.

8 years ago, Jesus gave me my baby girls name while sitting eyes closed in prayer.

& When that golf ball exploded pink at the gender reveal, I just about lost it.

A BABY GIRL?! I am just beside myself in excitement.

Sorry, Aaron. You dontttttt have much say in the name. haha!

It was beautiful, the name. It spoke to me on such deep levels and I still get butterflies saying it.

My Favorite Pregnancy Must-Haves

I say this with a full heart when I say that I didnt know what I was getting into when I first became pregnant. I always dreamt of being pregnant and of course having kids, but really didn’t know a thing about it.

Sickness? Pshhh…bed rest, movies, and popsicle with a stomach ache. Whatever.

NO. Talk about not wanting to go to sleep because you dont want to wake up and do it over again!

I laugh now.

It took me to the 14th week to start feeling normal again, with the occasional, “babe pull over…i need to find a bush!”

so glamorous.

Because morning sickness is so dang HARD and there is nothing that worked for me other than sleep and carbs. I have little advice. I just lived on applying peppermint and lavender to my temples and under my nose and smelled lemon essential oil whenever i got nauseous! I also took b6 which I cannot recommend enough! I linked that below ;) Just do your best babe, you got this! Call me if you need a smoothie!

So today, I will share the things that I do LOVE that are worth your while no matter how far along you are!
